We welcome cyclists and can provide secure indoor storage for your bikes. The National cycle route 7 passes through Aberfoyle.
Bike hire and mountain bike guides can be organized locally so you can enjoy the extensive cycling oportunities the National Park has to offer.
Outdoor Activities
Go Country provides a full range of outdoor activities to suit all ages and interests. Based on idyllic Loch Ard, just 15 minutes drive from Duchray Castle, activities include quad biking, a unique waterpark, canoeing, climbing/abseiling, cliff jumping, archery, mountain biking, orienteering and many more.
Forest Adventure
Go Ape is the UK’s number one forest adventure, and there is one located at the David Marshall Lodge just outside Aberfoyle, which boasts as its main attraction two of Britain's longest zip wires. Days out at Go Ape are about living life a little more adventurously, having fun with friends and family and getting in touch with your inner Tarzan.
Biking
We welcome bikers and can offer secure indoor storage for your motor bike. The local area offers stunning challenging roads for bikers including the Dukes Pass out of Aberfoyle.
Segway and Pony Trekking
Trekking the Trossachs located at Castle Rednock Farm, a scenic working hill farm, offers Nordic Walking, Segway Trekking, Shetland Pony Driving and Orienteering.
Whisky
Deanston Distillery located near Doune offer tours by prior arrangement. Also in the area and offering tours is the Glengoyne Distillery nestled into the bottom of Dumgoyne Hill, Near Killearn.
Kids days out
There are some great days out with the kids located really nearby, Blair Drummond Safari Park and Briarlands Farm are just 30 minutes drive from Duchray Castle, and for rainy days there is a lovely warm, indoor swiming pool at the Forest Hills hotel by Loch Ard which is open to non-residents.
