Duchray Castle

Nestled in the heart of the Queen Elizabeth Forest lies Duchray Castle, a 500 year old tower house linked with Rob Roy. Now renovated it offers cosy yet spacious accommodation and a warm welcome in a stunning, secluded location.

The local area offers fantastic scenery, wildlife and outdoor pursuits for visitors.

Red squirrel, deer and a huge variety of birds are frequently seen on the Castle estate.  Our location in the heart of the forest means that miles of forest track are just outside our gates for walkers, cyclists and horse riders to enjoy.  The tourist attractions of the Loch Lomond and Stirlingshire areas are easily accessible and the lack of light pollution allows superb opportunities for star gazing on clear nights. For more information about recommended activities in the local area have a look at the details below,  you might also find the visitor/tourist  websites below useful too.
